Depression

More than just a bout of the blues, depression isn’t a weakness and you can’t simply “snap out” of it. Depression may require long-term treatment. But don’t get discouraged. Most people with depression feel better with medication, psychotherapy or both.

Anxiety

Are you experiencing excessive worry, racing thoughts, irrational fears, sleep disturbance, increased heart rate, irritability, unusual sweating, fatigue or difficulty concentrating? You may be suffering from Anxiety. We can help.

Are you struggling with impulsiveness, disorganization, poor time management, trouble focusing on tasks, and frequent mood swings? You may be suffering from ADHD. We can help.

Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)

Treatment involves learning skills to help build positive family interactions and to manage problem behaviors. Other therapy, and possibly medicines, may be needed to treat related mental health conditions.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Features a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears known as obsessions. These obsessions and compulsions get in the way of daily activities and cause a lot of distress. Treatment can be effective.

Autism

A condition related to brain development that impacts how a person perceives and socializes with others, causing problems in social interaction and communication. The disorder also includes limited and repetitive patterns of behavior. The term “spectrum” in autism spectrum disorder refers to the wide range of symptoms and severity.

Family Issues

Families go through many experiences together. Some experiences are happy while others can be difficult, sad, or aggravating. While some conflict within a family is normal, family therapy may be beneficial when hardships seem overwhelming and affect the family’s everyday well-being, especially over an extended period of time.

Insomnia

Insomnia can drain your energy level and affect your mood. It also can affect your health, work performance and quality of life. You do not have to put up with sleepless nights. Simple changes in your daily habits often can help.

Bipolar Disorder

Although bipolar disorder is a lifelong condition, you can manage your mood swings and other symptoms by following a treatment plan. In most cases, bipolar disorder is treated with medications and psychological counseling (psychotherapy).

Grief

Does coping with a significant loss seem impossible? Are you experiencing deep emotional pain and physical ailments that interfere with your ability to fulfill your usual responsibilities, does self-care seem more difficult to manage, do you become angry, easily frustrated or feel guilt or shame related to the loss? We can help you in the healing process.

Anger Management

Are you experiencing poor control of your anger or negative emotions? Does anger tend to be your default response? We can help you develop healthy ways to manage your anger including increasing your use of relaxation techniques, cognitive restructuring, environmental shifts and problem solving. We are here to help.

Trauma

Most people who go through traumatic events may have temporary difficulty adjusting and coping. If the symptoms get worse, last for months or even years, and interfere with your day-to-day functioning, you may have PTSD. But with time and good self-care, they usually get better.

Immigration

Gender Dysphoria

Gender dysphoria is the feeling of discomfort or distress that might occur in people whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth or sex-related physical characteristics.

Obesity

Obesity can diminish the overall quality of life. You may not be able to do physical activities that you used to enjoy. You may avoid public places. Social and economic factors are linked to obesity. It's hard to avoid obesity if you don't have safe areas to walk or exercise. You may not have learned healthy ways of cooking. Or you may not have access to healthier foods. We are here to help you.
